about

It is Christmas Eve in Victorian London, and people are rushing home to be with their families. All, that is, except one man: Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge is a rich old miser whose only joy in life is money. He decides to spend the night counting his money and rejects Christmas cheer by shouting "Bah! Humbug!"

But on Christmas Eve, there are some surprises in store for old Scrooge. The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come keep Scrooge from sleeping while his poor and mistreated worker Bob Cratchit prepares the best family meal that his meagre wages can buy. In one short night, the Sprits show Scrooge more about who he really is than he has ever known.

As Christmas Day comes, Scrooge is forced to face the ghost of his own mean life.

One of Dickens's best-known stories. Since it came out in 1843, when it was first published, it has shaped the way we think about Christmas traditions.
